Demo Days are an excellent way to confirm your decision on what kayak or SUP best suits your needs. We do multiple demo days near all 3 of our stores. Demos are 100% FREE. Demos held at Kensington Metropark require a Metroparks Pass to enter the park and those held at Dodge Park #4 require a Recreation Passport to enter as well. We will conduct demos rain or shine, although we will take necessary precautions in the event of thunder or lightning. It is EXTREMELY RARE that we cancel a demo, but in the name of safety, those decisions will be made the day of the demo.
What We Bring:
– Over 60 different Kayaks & Paddleboards
– Several different paddle models to demo
– All of the paddling gear needed
– Hobie Mirage Drive kayaks
– All Jackson Kayaks we will stock during the season
– Expert staff to answer questions and steer you to the right product
What You Should Bring:
Comfortable quick drying clothing, footwear that can get wet, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses with croakies or similar retainers. Dress to get wet! Although the goal of kayaking and paddleboarding is to not get in the water, it is still a water sport and there is always a chance of getting wet.
It is good to have a general idea of where & how you intend to use your new kayak or paddleboard. Thinking about all the types of water you would want to paddle will help us, help you zero in on the right kayak or sup to get you in the water with confidence. If you have any questions please call the hosting store for the demo you plan on attending.
